No Evidence for Galactic Latitude Dependence of the Fast Radio Burst Sky Distribution

چکیده

We investigate whether the sky rate of Fast Radio Bursts depends on Galactic latitude using first catalog (FRBs) detected by Canadian Hydrogen Intensity Mapping Experiment Burst (CHIME/FRB) Project. select CHIME/FRB events above a specified sensitivity threshold in consideration radiometer equation, and then compare these detections with expected cumulative time-weighted exposure Anderson-Darling Kolmogrov-Smirnov tests. These tests are consistent null hypothesis that FRBs distributed without dependence ($p$-values from 0.05 to 0.99, depending completeness threshold). Additionally, we rates intermediate latitudes ($|b| < 15^\circ$) high Bayesian framework, treating question as biased coin-flipping experiment -- again for range thresholds. In isotropic model is significantly favored (Bayes factors ranging 3.3 14.2). Our results originating an population extragalactic sources.

No Evidence for Gamma-Ray Burst/Abell Cluster or Gamma- Ray Burst/Radio-Quiet Quasar Correlations

We examine the recent claims that cosmic gamma-ray bursts are associated with either radio-quiet quasars or Abell clusters. These associations were based on positional coincidences between cataloged quasars or Abell clusters, and selected events from the BATSE 3B catalog of gamma-ray bursts. We use a larger sample of gamma-ray bursts with more accurate positions, obtained by the 3rd Interplanet...

No large-angle correlations on the non-Galactic microwave sky

We investigate the angular two-point correlation function of temperature in the WMAP maps. Updating and extending earlier results, we confirm the lack of correlations outside the Galaxy on angular scales greater than about 60 degrees at a level that would occur in 0.025 per cent of realizations of the concordance model. This represents a dramatic increase in significance from the original obser...

A&a Manuscript No. the Radio Spectra of Galactic Nuclei

We present a model for the inverted radio spectra of active active galactic nuclei as well as the central regions of normal galaxies. The model is based on the uniied scenario for active galaxies, stating that the central engines of active galaxies consists of a supermassive black hole surrounded by an accretion disk and a radio jet. The nuclei of normal (i. e. less active) galaxies are suppose...

The Galactic disk: study of four low latitude Galactic Fields

We present deep V and I photometry of stellar field in four previously unstudied low latitude regions of the Galactic disk. All observed fields are located at the western side of the Galactic Center in the direction of the Coalsack-Carina region. They are chosen on the large scale surface photometry of the Milky Way (Hoffmann et al., 1998 and Kimeswenger et al., 1993) and corresponding term map...
